“Understanding and Supporting Maternal Mental Health” is an essential workshop designed to shed light on the critical aspects of perinatal mental health disorders. This session aims to equip participants with crucial knowledge about maternal mental health, including key facts, common signs of perinatal disorders, and the various risk factors that can affect expectant and new mothers. Attendees will be guided through the myriad of resources available for support and learn effective ways to assist those experiencing these challenges.

Emphasizing the significance of maternal mental health, the workshop seeks to foster empathy, awareness, and proactive support within communities, ensuring mothers receive the care and understanding they need during this pivotal time. Join us and contribute to a healthier, more supportive environment for all mothers.

Diana Curiel Bamford (Di) is a Maternal Mental Health Advocate, Perinatal Energy Therapist, Certified Peer Support Specialist, and 200Hr Yoga Instructor based in Fallbrook, CA. She is the Outreach Director with Thrive Wellness Collective, a non-profit organization with a mission to empower families and strengthen communities through midwifery care and services. Di is also a member and volunteer with The Postpartum Health Alliance. 



Di is a proud mother of 3, happily married to a patient loving husband. She is also a Survivor of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), an experience that almost took her life and the life of her baby. Because of this experience, she dedicates her time to bringing awareness to Perinatal Mental Health Disorders and Maternal Mental Health through presentations, conferences, and workshops. Her true passion is to empower mothers and break the stigma around Maternal Mental Health (MMH).
