Being a Dad has changed everything.

I’d be lying if said I NEVER look for the freedom I used to have, but there is something about being a dad in my world that is just right.

What I know for SURE at this stage is that most of the parents I meet and get to work with do the best they can with what they know and have. And I have interviewed so many parents at this stage.

Within the themes of our ongoing curriculum here, we focus on sharing with you some of the most IMPORTANT information that can shift your headspace and grow a more vibrant family.

This theme is no different.

It is one of the most important we have and will ever cover.

Baby’s Best Start is all about what happens in there.

As a dad, I tell our pregnant patients very clearly that I’m aware I will never know what it is like to grow a human inside me. My wife, Victoria, grew, birthed and now feeds our little Alana and that is the most amazing super power ever known.

What happens inside the womb is orchestrated by the mother’s nervous system.

EVERYTHING is controlled by the nerves – by this wisdom inside – and it begins at conception.

Dr. Thomas Verny MD, one of the world’s leading experts on the effects of prenatal and early postnatal environment, states that EVERY SECOND 50,000 neural connections are made by the developing embryo and fetus’s brain and nervous system.

He also states that 50% of our genome is focused specifically on building the brain, but the miraculous nature of the human brain far exceeds even that genetic priority.

Why am I talking about all of this?

You know this part: Chiropractors focus on optimizing the function of the nervous system.

We know if we do that, then the wisdom, beauty, self-healing, and adaptability of that being is optimized. The possibility of true well being become so much more likely.

This month, we are going to highlight the brilliance that exists as a baby develops in utero. It goes far beyond what your app tells you. To date, I am still the ONLY birth provider in San Diego county who talks about this with their patients– whether it’s a pregnant patient or a set of parents bringing their kiddo to us for care.

We are going to talk about the primitive reflexes that develop at specific times in utero which determine a baby’s function and HUMANNESS postpartum.

I might even use our little one as a model. We will see if she cooperates!

Many of these reflexes have a primary role in the birthing process. Yeah momma, you have an infinitely wise being who has an internal program that can influence birth outcomes. Some of these reflexes can tell us why a baby maybe breech or in any other suboptimal birthing position.

These reflexes can tell us why a baby may be having breastfeeding issues. It’s not JUST tight muscles or jaws or small mouths or tongue ties… although those are so important.

In the end, the premise still holds for us… Life is Intelligent. And that intelligence is absolutely part of the programming of a baby throughout its entire time in utero.

As always, if we FOCUS on that… we have babies who not only get their best start, but we build a foundation of optimal function that will carry them throughout life.

Our intention is for you to learn something powerful… .

change some of your beliefs and perceptions surrounding pregnancy and birth as it relates to an infant’s development… and have your next pregnancy and therefore the health and vibrancy of your next kiddo be the absolutely best!

We honor you for reading this far and we simply cannot wait to share this month’s content with you!
