No one thrives in stress.
Did you know that?
You may love the adrenaline-rush stress brings but you do not “THRIVE” there – no species on the planet does. It’s biologically illogical.
We live in a world today that still normalizes perspectives that are at the core of our healthcare crisis.
- If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
- A pill for every ill.
I’ve been there, trust me. Being a veteran, the PTSD that most of us suffer from (whether we know it or not) comes from pushing too hard, too often, for too many years. Not days, weeks, months, but years and decades.
And mommas, I see you, this is your world too. This is why we are passionate about taking care of you and your little ones.
Yes stress, it’s unavoidable and it’s absolutely necessary sometimes…but by and large, what happens when the threat is gone? Can your system shut off?
We have our autonomic system in the body because it runs our entire programming, automatically. When our system can no longer adapt to the environment, your spine subluxates and your brain can no longer run the programming that leads to NORMAL FUNCTION. This is the beauty of your spine, it tells you when you’ve overextended yourself.
I cannot wait for the day that we normalize NORMAL. Our conventional medical system has normalized mediocre health and we’ve been convinced that the common ailments that we see in the world are just ‘genetic’ or bad luck.
Chiropractic sees the world differently.
We are not ok when a baby comes in with an 8 for an APGAR score. This means that baby’s experience from pregnancy, labor and birth was 8/10, 80%. Many birth providers don’t tell parents if baby scored two 1’s or one ZERO in their Appearance, Pulse, Grimace, Activity, and Respiration. Each area is related to a specific system in the body and if your baby scores a zero anywhere, you should know.
Our kids’ health today is dismal at best. The most recent data reveals for kids today that:
- 43% has at least one chronic illness.
- 1 in 6 has a neurodevelopmental disorder.
- 1 in 11 has asthma.
- 1 in 4 has allergies.
- 1 in 2 are overweight or obese.
- Adult Onset Diabetes was renamed to Type II Diabetes (children as young as 5 are being diagnosed with Type II Diabetes)
This is the first generation of kids who have a lower life expectancy than their parents. This is not OK.
When we check infants, we check them head to toe for structure and function. We check primitive reflex patterns – why? Because they are all supposed to be perfect by mid-2nd trimester and many have a role in helping baby finding the best possible position for birth but when they come out these reflexes are 100% related to their function.
As an example, the Spinal Galant reflex helps baby find position in-utero AND helps baby with normal digestive function post-partum by creating mobility in the pelvis. The Asymmetrical Tonic Neck reflex also helps with baby position in-utero and allows baby to find the breast in order to properly breastfeed post-partum.
These are the 2 tops reasons moms bring their babies into see us: digestive and breastfeeding problems. This is why we recommend expectant mommas to come see us as soon as possible AND this is why we offer our infant exams to our momma-to-be patients complimentary.
In the end, it is all about finding a practitioner that will help you and your family find balance in your systems. If the Sympathetic System is on overdrive like 75% of San Diego (if not more), the body cannot heal and definitely cannot thrive.
I cannot think of a better way, for all ages symptoms or not, to achieve balance and healing than a proper chiropractic analysis and the chiropractic adjustment.
